A little alone time.

Once her son was off to school Mike was waiting for her. He smiled when she returned, looking forward to just spending some alone time with her. He wasn't one of those pushy younger type guys who'd just jump her right away either. It would happen on it's own pace if it did. He did pat the spot beside him with a smile.

"Everything good?"

"Yeah, he's doing well. You know kids, they just want to do everything." Karen laughed as she settled on the couch stretching her legs out. She loved her son deeply but he was a little bundle of energy sometimes. Turning to her boyfriend she stole a kiss. "I missed you, Mike."
